Teaching audiovisual excellence across the UK
We help crews, engineers and creators build studios and run live productions with confidence.
Our story
Built in the gallery, shaped by live television
starlumx began as a set of internal training notes shared between broadcast engineers working on network studios and large live events across the United Kingdom. Colleagues kept asking for the same things: clearer guidance on studio layouts, faster ways to set up camera control and repeatable lighting and sound arrangements.
Today the course brings those lessons together in one structured programme. Whether you are fitting out a new studio or leading a crew on a one-night-only event, you will find practical methods that save time and protect production quality.
What guides our teaching
Precision
Every lesson is built around measurable technical standards, from colour temperature to signal levels.
Practicality
We teach what works on a real gallery floor, with templates and checklists you can use the next day.
